This project highlights the "Create a Team" customizable Formula One race car, developed for the F1 Manager 24 title by Frontier Developments.
I thoroughly enjoyed designing this model using a high-to-mid poly workflow. Drawing from various reference sources, I designed a car that seamlessly blends into the pack of the 2024 season cars using my prior knowledge of aerodynamics & race car technology from my studies, incorporating the latest design features and updates.
This includes the displayed customizable and bespoke / influencer liveries, all of which received official approval from F1 for in-game use.
The creation process involved the following tools and techniques:
- Blender 3.5: For high-to-mid poly mesh creation and UV unwrapping.
- Adobe Photoshop: For logo editing and livery design.
- Adobe Substance 3D Painter: For creating detailed livery textures.
- 3ds Max 2023: For exporting the model and setting up materials.
- Maya: For scripted rigging and integration into Unreal Engine 5.1.
This project not only demonstrates my technical expertise but also my ability to meet industry standards, delivering accurate and approved digital assets for game development.
